New, Returning, & Transfer College Students

Apply for Both Federal and State Aid

Step 1: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Step 2: Complete the Georgia Student Financial Aid Application (GSFAPP)

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
    • Submit the 2024-2025 FAFSA for Fall 2024 (August 2024 – December 2024), Spring 2025 (January 2025 – May 2025), and Summer 2025 (May 2025 – July 2025) using 2022 income and tax information.
  • Be sure to list GNTC’s Federal School Code: 004024
  • Your processed FAFSA should load into our system within 5-10 business days.
  • If it comes in requesting documents, submit them as soon as possible and preferably ahead of the priority deadline to allow time for processing.
  • You must file a FAFSA each year to be considered for federal aid.
  • The GNTC Admissions Process also needs to be completed if you are a new student, a transfer student, a returning student who took a break from enrollment of a year or more, or a returning student who previously completed an official withdrawal.

Only Interested in State Aid?

  • The GSFAPP does not require tax or income information and is valid for ten years if completed.
  • If you are attending a degree program you would need to be checked for the HOPE Scholarship, which can require additional steps.

Once your application has been received, the Financial Aid Office may require additional documentation. Please check your student email regularly and make sure you submit any additional documents as quickly as possible.

Foundation Scholarships

The GNTC Foundation Department receives private contributions in order to build and maintain outstanding academic and support programs at the college. Donations to the Foundation support areas of institutional need including scholarships to deserving students, equipment purchases, materials for the library, and staff development.
